Once delivered to the RPS Scot processing plant, the tyres are shredded to remove the steel and the remaining 'feedstock' is reprocessed into oils, carbon gas and fibre.
Uniquely the gas produced is used to power the plant and the fibres are lifted to other recycling organisations.
Importantly there are less than 1% emissions and > 99% material recovery with 90% of the tyre materials reintroduced into the economy.
